Privacy policy

This covers the information you send us through this website. It is short because we do very little with it.

Who we are

Kivé Refresh Ltd is the data controller for information collected through this website. We are based in Chinnor, Oxfordshire. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC215161. You can reach us at oliver@kiverefresh.com.

What this website collects

Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, organisation, email address, and optionally your phone number, collection postcode, an approximate quantity, the equipment types you tick, your sector, and any message you write.

There are no cookies on this site, none at all, which is why you have not been asked to consent to any. There is no advertising, no tracking pixels and no social media embeds. Typefaces are served from this site rather than a font provider, so reading a page does not tell Google or anyone else that you were here.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It is cookieless and stores nothing on your device: no cookie, no local storage, no device fingerprint, no cross-site profile, and nothing that could be used to recognise you on a return visit. What we see is aggregate: how many people read a page, roughly where in the world they were, and which site sent them.

It sets nothing on your device, so the consent requirement in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations does not apply and this site needs no cookie banner. Cloudflare does see the IP address your request arrives from, as any host must, and uses it to work out roughly where in the world you are. That is not stored against you, and we never see it. We chose it over Google Analytics for exactly that reason. Cloudflare's documentation is at developers.cloudflare.com.

What we do with it

Your enquiry is emailed to us so we can reply. That is the entire purpose. We do not store submissions in a database, add you to a mailing list, or share your details with anyone for marketing.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to an enquiry you chose to send us. If we go on to work together, the basis becomes performance of a contract.

Who else sees it

The email is delivered by Resend, our email provider, and stored in our own email account. This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which also provides the visit counting described above. Each acts as a processor on our behalf. Nobody else receives your enquiry, and the analytics never see it: they count page views, not form submissions.

Where your information goes

Resend and Cloudflare are American companies, so your enquiry and the request data behind these pages are handled in the United States. Each is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and our contracts with them carry the standard clauses the UK requires. Those are the safeguards that make the transfer lawful.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Where we go on to provide a service, correspondence and the associated collection and erasure records are kept for six years, which is the period during which a client may need to evidence disposal.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, or object to us holding it. Email us and we will deal with it within one calendar month. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We do not keep an archive of previous versions for a document this short.
